I need help resetting my 94 GMC seirra's gas gage

Ok my 1994 GMC sierra fuel pump went out it took me two days to fix it my self, every thing went well. then when i reconnected my battery and started my truck every thing went well till i looked at my gas gage. the gage went from empty to full and it stays full even when i turn off the truck. now every now and again it will move to 3/4 full if the truck sits still for a full week give or take a few days. so with that in mind i let the truck sit for a month and a half and it didn't go past 3/4. i have even tryed the resetting of the computer trick and nothing. this is a constant problem becase i have to gess how much i have in the tank and im out constantly out looking for a job. if u could please help!!!

The gas gauge is on the fuel pump assembly with in the fuel tank, you must have bumped it during reassembly. the only solution is removal. pull it out check for alignment and binding, reassemble being very careful. hope this helps.
