The lowest price I found for the headlights was at I purchased a pair of headlights for $121.95 with no shipping charges.

The headlight lens is welded with a method called ultrasonic plastic welding, you can't repair them, but there are after market units available for 1/2 the cost of the GM part, try, that is just one of the aftermarket suppliers.

No fix

Have to replace the complete lamp assy

You could try blowing it out clean with air hose,
have it in a dry place a couple days, smoke test it
with evap smoke machine & try crazy glue, if there is
a leak

As I understand it-- that is not a good solution,so some

Foggy headlight lens replace driver door mirror

Foggy headlight lens is from water ingress and gets trapped in there, the easiest way for you is to unscrew the back of the headlight assembly and get a hair drier and just dry out the head light, it may come back after a few rains,, other wise undo the screw holding the headlight unit, disconect wires and remove unit, I have the submerged unit into water watching where air bubbles come from then apply a small bead of water proof flexible sealand or silastic around the edge where the cover and lense meet, Dont try to take the lense off you will break something. Dry out completly and use hair dryer agin on low setting to make sure all moisture is gone and reassemble back onto vehicle....

Need to clean headlight plastic covers on 99 Toyota Avalon...covers filthy, improper lighting when on headlights on. How do we disassemble?

These covers can be clarified ON the car. I recommend Blue Magic headlight lense restorer. It is a cream and applies just like polish, use cotton NO paper towels, or synthetics. You may have to apply more than once to completely remove the pitting as yours seem to be very bad, however do NOT try to do the whole lense at once, the trick is small circles on a small area at a time. Wipe with a COTTON towel/rag to remove the residue, then polish with a clean cotton towel to finish. There are other brands that do the same thing, which I have tried. These products are available at Autozone, Advanced Auto, O'Reillys, and Pep Boys, for about $10-$15. I hope I've answered your question. Do not remove the lenses from the headlight assembly as this will cause the need to replace the entire unit. Thank you for trusting FixYa to help get you going!

2005 Ford Escape Headlight Condensation

most of the time the headlight assemblys are replaced because of this at my work (toyota dealeraship ) but i would try to take apart the headlight assembly very carefully by prying up the tabs and glue that attach the front to the bach then clean out and reseal, or you could try to use a clothes hanger with a small amount of cloth or paper towel taped to the end and insert through the hole where the headlight bulb goes may take some time but could save you a considerable amount of money hope this helps

Condensation always in headlights.

Hi, the moisture in the headlight units is most likely caused due to a failure in one of the rubber seals where the bulbs push through into the headlight unit.

Have a check to see if the bulbs are seated properly, they are normally held in place by metal clips, sorry I'm not familiar with this particular model so can't give specific advice. If the seals are ok, could be that the moisture managed to get in somehow, and now is sealed in the unit.

To get the moisture out, you'll need to remove the bulbs from the headlight unit so that the moisture can evaporate out and then re-fit the bulbs to seal the unit again.

Hope this helps.

They shouldn't - they only work when you do a wash/wipe.
