Question about 2005 Honda CR-V
Brian032472-thanks for your help.
However, the dealer is not a honda dealer and either doesn't know how to fix it or can't. they want to put a cheap Kenwood in its place. First,I do not know if it will take another radio and how the antitheft system will accept it(although I know not to take the one they are offering. it is $100 garbage); then is there a problem changing the radio with another brand? Can the CR-V take any radio or does it have to be a honda product in order to still use the controls on the steering wheel?
thanks for any help you can give
I can answer your last question.
it would need a honda radio with a steering control capability. look at the socket and if it would fit, there is a big chance it would work. but if it wont fit, then it wont work. if you use other radio even honda radio but it does not have the steering control capability, then still it would not work.
tnx 4 using fixya,
