Hate to tell you this but your motors may be going out. You have an older model vehicle and I'm surprised that they lasted this long. The good new is I know you love your car, there are usually salvage yards that have these motors and somebody, if you want to pay them, there to install it. One other thing, your window gears may need to be greased which is the big rollers with teeth that your windows roll up and down on. Hope this helped.

it sounds like either the motor is binding or the window regulator check with your mechanic before purchasing

Electrical problems?

Reads like it is a problem for an auto electrician or someone with access to the vehicles wiring diagram - presumably at some point two circuits are crossing. More likely if it is a modern car, it maybe a bit of computerised hardware that needs a fix or replacement.

DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW WILL NOT ROLL DOWN.(AUTO MATIC

Hi,
Chrysler / Dodge window switches seem to be a common fault. If you are confident in your skills, obtain a switch from a salvage yard, check local auto parts stores in order to have a price comparison. Carefully remove the window op switch and replace with the part you obtained. Operate switch and check window action. It is possible to take the original switch apart, and using a fingernail glasspaper style 'emery" board as women term them. Clean all the contacts of the switch of the black residue which coats them, reassemble and fit to vehicle. This repair works 99.9% of the time, as attested to by my Dodge / Chrysler personal transport.

Good luck:)

Driver's side power window goes down, but not up.

hi, take the door panel off and check the window motor. sounds like the resistance of the window going back up is causing the motor to slow down and freeze up. higher than normal amperage is required to roll the window up, rather than down which had gravity helping it. unless there is a bad spot in the regulator(the part that controls the window going up and down). windows will freeze up when the internal brushes get worn, sitcky. check the motor by tapping on it with light force while rolling up when it gets to the sticking point. or help the motor by pushing pressure up on the window through the range. if it works okay like this, it's the window motor. but when you go to buy a part, you may find that the window motor maybe included only as assembly with regulator. check it out.

Hello hoping 2 find some help.. i have a 2003 lexus gs 300. i took it to an auto body shop 2 get a custom paint job but wene i got it back my rear windows were rolled down. i didnt pay any mind 2 it cause...

I assume they all (windows)have automatic feature(should say on master switch ALL AUTO) , two clickes on each switch.First click for manual rolling , second click for auto rolling.
If that so , you can try to reset them :
Put the ignition on or start the car , close all doors ,
roll window up on first click and hold it for 10 sec. , then go down and do the same when window is down. If it doesn't work with the first click , try it on the second click. Roll it up and hold switch for 10sec.
, then down and hold switch down for 10 sec.
This procedure will not work if you only have auto on driver window.
Hope it helps.

1999 nissan pathfinder jerks and stall when slowing down or at red light

YOU might find its due to the Auto Matic gear box as when you slow down at the lights or brake hard to stop the auto box should brake free at about 600rpm as to allow the car to stop but the engine to keep idling, but the drive bands in the gearbox and the pump which operate them are not braking free so its like, in a Manual g/box driving and stopping but leaving the clutch pedal and not pushing it in so the car stalls,
SO you may find that the next time you are driving it and come to the lights just try putting it in NEUTRAL gear before you stop and try, if it ok then get the g/box serviced . RON

Have a 1989 cutlass ciera that rolls back a little when put in park. What could that be? 2nd issue is it stalls when you come to a stop.

the rool back is down to slack in the drive line,
ie prop and back lash in the diff, there will also be some back lash in the gear box as well, this is completly normal so dont worry about it,, however you should all ways keep the foot drake on till you have put the habd brake on then and only them slip it into park as if you keep letting it rool back and stoping in park you could snap of the park claw inside the auto gear box, that a pricy repair, so please hold the brakes on before you go into park,,,
as for the stalling part,,, how fast is the tick over when warm and in gear (in drive with foot brake on)
if its less that 850 rpm thats the problem,,, auto's realy dont like a slow tick over, there is a lot of drag on an auto box, at tick over it should hold your car from rolling back on a slight hill or even drive up it with out you putting any power on to make it pull away, they also creep forwards in gear by them selfs, thats normal too,,safe, happy driving!!!!!!!

Shifting slow

IF auto matic then you have a valve problem or the piston in high band is sticking.
1 check aoto matic oil if red and thin should be ok ,,but if turning black or dark red then you need to go to auto gear box shop and have it drained and sump off and bands checked out before you burn out the forward bands in g/box.....

Drivers side window goes down but not up

Sounds like you need a new window motor, if it goes down slow with gravity to help, and won't go up means its tired and needs replaced.
