1995 Jeep Cherokee - Diagnostic codes

Hello, I pulled the diagnostic codes from my jeep but I do not have a list so that I can determine what each one means. Do you have such a list? Or can you look the codes up for me?

Thank you,
Michelle

The codes I pulled from my 1995 Jeep Cherokee are: 3, 41 and 55.

I just put in a new alternator. I had the battery and starter checked as well and they are all good.

    Thank you for your assistance.

Make sure you are pulling up the right codes. Code 55 identifies the end of flash code transmission. No idea what the first two codes are. Good luck. Rob

Hello Lubie...

I would STRONGLY recommend you get your codes read...

I TRIED ALL that TOO...

Finally my codes... said the OXYGEN SENSORS were complaining... OBD... DTC
(on-board-diagnostic... DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES)

So... of course I changed the... OXYGEN SENSORS.

The "NEW" OXYGEN SENSORS complained just as well...

I have subsequently learned the "SENSORS" are
just doing their job...

In my case reporting on a collapsed catalytic converter.
(muffler is actually a MORE common blockage).

A little hunting around... like Auto-Zone ... Napa auto...
Pep-boys... O'Reilly Auto Parts... even MIDAS might
yield FREE READINGs... (check around).

Just remember to wear your best SALES RESISTANCE...

and look up you prices on ROCKAUTO...
before you go... Hope this helps.

1995 jeep grnad cherokee codes 34 55

34 = speed control circuit. The solenoid for the speed control is not operating correctly, due to a defective solenoid or short in the wire connection. 55 = end of diagnostic message's.

How to clear the diagnostic codes on my 1993 jeep cherokee?

To clear codes on these, you can disconnect the battery, then re-connect. The only code remaining will be one indicating battery power was interuppted. This will not work on 98 and newer vehicles.

Engine code 95 jeep grand cherokee lerado

12 is a battery disconnect within the last 50 start cycles and 55 means the end of the diagnostic cycle.  Basically the computer found nothing wrong. The 12 code may seem incorrect if you haven't disconnected the battery recently, but from my experience the 12 code shows up almost all the time regardless.
