Question about 2004 Ford F150
I have a 2004 Ford F150 Supercrew and it was took a few cranks to get it started these last few days, it was as if the battery was getting the juice it needed. I also noticed that when I locked the truck with the remote lock the beep was very faint. Last night I tried to start it and it wouldn't but it took a jump right away and ran fine. Then this morning again it took a few cranks and the remote lock beep again was very faint. What could this be? I'm thinking either I need a new battery or it is the alternator?
With the engine running remove the positive battery cable, if the engine continues to run the alternator is good and the battery is probably bad. If the engine dies then the opposite is true.
