My 00 silverado left me stranded at a store after i turned it off. It will crank, but wont fire. I replaced the fuel pump $300,and filter$35.I dont think there is spark at the coils. Autozone gave a code for a MAF,but that doesnt explain the no spark. I want to replace the crank position sensor, but cannot find it.

How do you get change engine oil to disapper?

2002 to 2006 Chevrolet Silverado
  • Insert your key into the ignition, and turn it to position "A" (Run/On) without cranking the engine.

  • Depress the gas pedal three times within five seconds. The "Change Oil" message will begin to flash.
  • Turn the ignition to position "A" (Lock/Off) once the light stops flashing (about 10 seconds).

    its inside your distributor
    remove the distributor
you need torx star pattern screw driver T10 T15 T20 remember disconnect the battery
after you unplug crank angle sensor loosen it
it looks like its impossible to remove it but if someone can help you crank the crankshaft bolt as your partner is cranking you will see in the distributor a slot where you can slip it out

I would need more information to really help you. There are many possibilities. could have bad injector shutting down computer to keep from burning up the drive in it. May have bad module that controls spark. Need to know if there is spark at the plugs. Does it have injector pulse. Is fuel pump working do you have pressure and how much!
