There is a small button on the inside of the gas flap. It took 3 AAA guys to find it.

Hi from uk are you putting the fuel pump gun/nozzle fully into tank filler? as there is a flap valve inside the tank filler neck and unless nozzle pushes this flap open it will restrict flow of fuel into tank one other cause of problem slow filling? is the ventilation pipe from the tank which is positiond along side of fill pipe ? may be kinked or blocked at outlet look under car where filler is and check? as fuel enters tank it displaces air from tank via this vent pipe? hope this helps you solve problem

How do I fix my gas tank. I put gas in but it doesn't let me pump without clicking every few seconds. It's not the adjustment of the pump where you move it and it fills.

I don't know year--make--model?
Check vent line and/or evap system. The air in the tank has to go somewhere or it will burp back up the fill tube and shut off the gas pump.

Ran out of gas.. Where is the fuel pump shut off switch located?

Fuel pump only runs on "Crank" or after the engine has started to run. Having put gas in the tank you should only have to crank a bit, 10 seconds at a time, 30 seconds wait, until the system refills. If you are talking about diesel then that's a whole different ball game.

Can't put gas in my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

I doubt it.
Usually the problem is a blockage in the fill tube, sometimes the vent for the tank is not working. But there are several components to the EVAP system.
I would check the filler tube first.

Why does the gas pump keep clicking off while putting gas in my car

some pumps have more pressure than others, too much flow will restrict the flow shutting off the pump nozzle works on flow as car gets full it makes pressure to the nozzle and shuts it off

I AM RESTORING A T020 MF. I REPLACED ALL WIRING AND IGNITION SYSTEM AND REBUILT THE CARBURATOR, AND ADJUSTED IT TO SPECS. I GOT IT TO START RIGHT AWAY AND IT SOUNDS GREAT. HOWEVER, IT WILL ONLY RUN FOR...

Ok a quick check. When the engine cuts out and you go for restart it dies within 5 seconds. Next time put the ignition at position 2 (on but not starting) and wait one minute, then start the car. If the engine again runs for 30 seconds before cutting off this tells you its is a fuel problem. If the fuel is supplied slowly it fills the carburettor fuel bowls and when the car starts it quickly uses up these local reservoirs of fuel faster than they can be replenished. When you try to restart immediately there is only a tiny amount of fuel and so it used up almost immediately. By leaving the ignition on 2 for while it gives the pump time to fill the carburettor bowls and this takes a while longer to run down when the engine starts. Just before moving on does the car have a choke OK remove the low tension connection to the coil, basically remove any chance of a spark. Put a big old towel around the carb. Now remove the fuel line at the carburettor and put ignition on 2 to engage the starter pump. Listen to pump operation and look at the rate of fuel being pushed from the disconnected fuel pipe. If the flow is slow check on pump and filters.

I ran out of gas so i put some in now it wont start

After the car is that low that your car stalls, it takes a very long time to get the fuel pumped back up to the engine. keep cranking it. Only in 20-30 seconds bursts so the starter doesn't over heat.
Of course if it tries to start and you get to much gas in the engine, now you have a flooding problem.
