Iszuz ascender My mother and I were traveling on the express way and the car felt like it was skipping. We looked at the dash board and the RPMs were going from 3 to 1 back anf fourth, and when this happend the car started this "skipping" thing. she looked at the oil pressure and it was at 80. when she took her foot off the accelertor it wouldnt happen. when we would get up to 30 mph the RPMs would start going from high to low. and it will not go into second gear.

Have a fuel pressure test run under a loaded condition, the dealer will be able to do this.

2000 ranger missfires on number6 , runs good over 2000 rpms

It's still misfiring. The engine is running to fast for the computer to pick it up. Pull the plug wire on 6 , start the truck. look for spark out of the wire. No spark, replace the coil pack. Spark, pull the plug, see if it is fouled out. I would do a compression test also, while the plug is out.

My 2005 Cadillac Deville speedometer goes to zero and transmission seems get stuck and car will not go over 15-20 mph with high engine rpms. Unless I mash on the petal to make it skip gears. #help

problems with speed sensor for transmission. Computer uses a speed signal to shift transmission through the gears. Without speed input, the computer doesn't know when to shift the transmission. Either the speed sensor is bad or wiring from the ECM to the speed sensor is bad. Usually 2 wires lead to the sensor. The sensor generates a AC voltage signal with higher speeds generating more voltage and frequency. The ECM (computer), looks at the signal to see how fast the vehicle is traveling.

Can get the whole assembly at the junkyard, I did for my Trailblazer. GM issued a recall for this issue as rain can get in there and short and or cause a fire. Your Ascender is on the recall, I just checked. Don't tell the dealer you spilled anything in there if that's what happened. They install/glue a shield under the switches, takes about an hour and it's free. This news should make you happy!

sounds like you have a bad ground or loose power connection to the portion of the fusebox which holds the fuses for the effected items
