Electric windows not working

None of the windows are working. I replaced the 30A circuit breaker with no effect. Any ideas?

The only other item listed on that breaker is the tailgate lift (which I had to look up to figure out that it was the trunk release) and it works fine.

The only other comment that I could see online was another fellow who indicated that on a '94 cutlass there was a window relay switch located under the dash board between the emergency break and the steering colum. He also indicated that it appeared complicated to get to.

    Hoping thats not it

I don't have a service manual, but here is the generic check, find the power in, then one by one operate the switches in both diresction and see if 12 volts is directed to each window motor.

Power windows

First check the power window fuse and relay.
The fuse is located in the underhood fuse box, it is maxi-fuse G (30A) {actually its' a 30A circuit breaker}. Make sure that power is getting to the circuit breaker using a testlight. Also check to see if power goes through the circuit breaker by checking its' other terminal while a partner operates (or attempts to) the power windows. If power goes in to the circuit breaker but does not come out, replace the circuit breaker. (some circuit breakers reset after a while, but I'm assuming you've have this problem for a while, so you're past the time it needs to reset)

None of my windows won't work

At the battery junction box, check 30A circuit breaker 601and 50A fuse 103. If these are OK, the next most likely cause is a defective generic electronic module (GEM)

2001 olds aurora, no power to passenger side window modules..plugged them into driverside doors they work.. also tried pass. side window motors on d.s and they work fine, any idea on what wire is power....

If the driver window works, the 30A PWR WDO CB and the 10A DRVMDL fuse in the rear fuse block must be OK. The passenger window gets power from the 10A PASS MDL fuse and that should be checked. The rear windows get power from the 10A RRDR MDL fuse and that, too, should be checked. The same circuit breaker and fuses protect the door locks so replacement of the burned out fuses should clear up your problem

Need to replace fuse for the power windows... do not know which fuse port is for the power windows and I have no manual to assist me... does anyone know which fuse port holds the fuse to the power windows...

the power windows are controlled through the Body Control Module. this module controls the windows through a circuit breaker under the hood in the relay and fuse box located near the master cylinder, it is
Position #62 30A CB Power windows circuit breaker, I really doubt this is the problem, but check it, if u have a short circuit the circuit breaker will be hot to the touch.

Which fuse on the fuse panel is the one for the power windows i lost the manual

I know thta, for a 2002 Ford Explorer, the 30 amp circuit breaker in location #62 of the power distribution box in the engine compartment is the power window circuit breaker. (unfortunately in the 2002 owner's manuals it is labelled accessory delay ) later years are labelled as the power window circuit breaker.

Hope helped with this. Remember rated this help, good luck.
