Question about 2000 Jeep Wrangler

ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS MY JEEP KEEPS LOSING POWER TO ALL THE GAUGES , SPEEDOMETER , NOW RADIO AND BRAKE LIGHTS WENT WITH IT THIS TIME. WIGGLING HAZARD SWITCH AROUND USE TO WORK NOW DOESNT.NOT FUSES CHECKED THEM.

It sounds like one of the wires is loose or not grounded. Check your fuse box and see if some wires have come apart from under the box.

2005. Why have gauges ceased to function?


Gauges have their own fuse. Under dash fuse panel. If it keeps blowing, you have a short to the power wire.

Brake lights, hazadrslights dont work and none of my guages, keeps blowing fuse for gauges.ac stopped blowing cold and alt dont charge. breaks and hazard went then the rest two days ago


first there is many separate circuit in your question
do you have a trailer plug in rear of your truck
you might find your hazard and brake fuse blown short to ground

Have a 2008 Ford F-150. While driving to work, the radio cut off and the gauges all went to zero. After a while, everything worked again. About 5 minutes later the same thing happened. The gauge light...


Check your battery connections to see if they ae clean and tight. Check all the ground wires in the engine compartmen to see if any is loose. Then check under the dashboard ror any loose ground wire connecting to metal points on the frame of the dashboard. You probably have a loose ground somewhere that is intermittently losing electrical contact....good luck!

Gauges and Warning Lights Are Going Crazy


Hi there! I am having the same issue. It seems like every time that it rains a lot this happens. Check the battery though, the ground connection of my battery is wet every time this happen's. Check if the battery is damp or wet, that is usually what causes it for me. I am in the process of getting a cover for it, or putting electrical tape over it.

Before buying a new battery ...have your electrical system checked ...usually about 35 to fifty bucks or so ...worthy it ....instead of buying some thing you don't need ....like a battery ,alternator ...good luck

Sounds like the ECM....the computer that controls all the electrical functions on the car is having some major issues or needs to be replaced. A auto repair or auto parts store should have a diagnostic machine that will tell you for sure or you can purchase one for between $50 and $150

97 Jeep Wrangler Dash Gauges Arent Operating..everything else ok!


check fuse #17 in fuse box under hood. It's a 10 red fuse. that's how i fixed my problem.

If the alt.is bd, it will make your dash go crazy because now your running only on battery power. Not enough volts to run every electrical items

My Dodge Caravan ST 3.4 LTR instrement cluster.


Your Hazard fuse is blown.
Hazard fuse has the instrument gauges on it in addition to the turn and brake lights.

When one of my brake lights went on my 07 Caravan it when short for a time and took out this fuse.
