Make sure the car is in park. If it is not in park, or the car doesn't think it's in park, it will not let the key out.

Spay some DW40 in the key slot and wait abut 5 to 10 mins. wigger the key, and slide it out.

Hi,
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

2005 crysler sebring 4 cyl no start p 0340 code changed camshaft position sensor still no start. key engaged engin turn over, fuel present, no start, occasionally get a small backfire. HELP!!!

Try substatutting the ignition module with a known goog one. Also have the camshaft CIRCUIT checked at the camshsft sensor plug in, for propper voltage. The code P0340 indicates a circuit malfunction not a sensor malfunction. Good luck.
