My mother's car, 97 Dodge stratus, seems to have a power steering leak. We believe it to be a hose, but the power steering is a bit difficult to get to. I was wondering if you would happen to know the steps involved to get to it, and repair it.
I had a somewhat related type of problem with my 2000 dodge stratus. It had poor steering and handling on curves. After 55000 miles with this problem I decided to replace the brain box, not the TCM. Now it steers more easily and takes curves at higher speeds well. I was amazed because I avoided unnecessary costly repairs. Hope this helps.
If it is a hose it could be in 6 or 7 sections to get to the pump you need 2 lower your front suspension i believe not a job for the neighborhood joe unless joe's a mechanic
