Question about 2002 Ford F150 Regular Cab

MY F150 WONT START UP AFTER DRIVING FOR AWHILE.

I CAN GO TO 3 PLACES SHUTING IT OFF AND STARTING IT. ON SAY THE 3RD STOP IT WONT START. ACTS LIKE IT ISN'T GETTING FUEL. LET IT SIT FOR 30 MINUTES AND IT WILL START UP LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED.

    I can go to 3 places shutting it off and starting it. on say the 3rd stop it wont start. acts like it isent getting fuel. Let it stand for 30 minutes or more and it will wstart up like nothing happened. until yesterday now it wont start at all. I will try it again tonight after work (had to leave it in town.)

    my f150 4.9 1987 ford runs for 20 or 30 mile then stops.after awhile it starts back up.and there's a humming noise coming from return fuel line. already replace fuel pump and fiter.

If it is like my 94 ranger it is a fuel pump sensor and ignition sensor. Just fixed mine and boy does it scoot. Mine were in a fuse box behind the battery 1in. square black pull out cubes. If you find them. ask a parts place which ones you need. Good Luck, John from Oregon

Probably a shift solinoid in the gear box. My commodore has 2 (1st & 2nd) & (3rd & 4th) my 3 / 4 solinoid went so went 1st 2nd 3rd but not to 4th until I replaced it.

Driving on cruise control. had to brake fast and the car just turned off. now it wont start but when i spray it with starting fluid it acts like it wants to start but then dies again. any ideas please help


try starting it with the transmission in neutral it sounds like the transmisson did not have a chance to disengauge the torque converter lockup switch before the stop locking the transmission and engine together, causing it to want to start but the transmission cannot turn

Won't start back up after driving and then park. Engine must cool


check the vacuum lines i had a 88 ford f150 that did the same thing the vacumm lines were old and collasped after driving for awhile then after the truck cooled down it would start back up
