Hi,

Initially, suspect would be the vent flaps/covers the re-directs the airflow and the air source (hot/cold). In most instances, it would also involve the actuators and/or the pushwires that links them. Often these falloff and leaves the flap/covers stuck in a certain position. You may need to visually inspect how these flap covers work and see if they move when you adjust the controls.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Have you checked to see if the drivers side vent is stuck closed, if you get cold air out of all of the other vents than the A/C is working if you were not getting any cold air than it would be broken or out of fluid.it might be sucking the vacuum switch closed and than re-open check it to see if it is open like all the rest

Yr 2000 ac not cooling on drivers side blows warm to cool air on drivers side and cold air on pass. side freeon checks good antifreeze checks good

1. Low freon. A mechanic once told me that the car will act like this when it needs a freon recharge. Such did not solve my problem, however. 2. Stuck door. There is supposedly a "door" (for want of a better term) inside the heating/cooling system that regulates temperature and/or cabin airflow. The door opens and closes according to the temperature and and dual climate settings selected. If this door gets stuck, it causes hot to blow out drivers side and cool on the passenger side. I am suspicious of this theory. Why would hot air correctly blow out of both sides? I had another mechanic tell me this one. 3. temperature sensor improperly reset. I read online that if the battery gets disconnected and reconnected improperly, it will cause a malfunction in the sensor responible for delivering the proper temp through the a/c system. The solutions posted were disconnect the battery and reconnect with negative terminal first; check all fuses that reference climate control, a/c , heater, etc in manual, remove for 15 seconds, reinsert or replace if necessary. This did nothing for me. However, I personally associate this intermittent problem with a battery reset. My wife's car has electrical problems (don't get me started) which necessitate frequent battery replacement. Everytime the battery has been disconnected, the problem starts again. 4. Computer malfunction. I also read that the problem may stem from the climate control interface itself (i.e. the thing with all of the temperature knobs and buttons). Replacing this is supposed to fix the problem. I have not tried this, and frankly, I refuse to do so. The only current solution I have ever found is patience. The problem seems to simply disappear after a while (albeit a long while). My wife and I both have Intrigues (Gasp!). They both have the same problem(s). Nothing works for either. Good luck. If you have success post your results.

The two vents on driver side of car blows hot air when air conditioning is on

I believe that your Seville has dual climate controls. So it sounds like a "Blend Door Actuator" problem. It's stuck and so it's not adjusting the mix of warm or cold air; that's how temperatures are controlled in your A/C heat system. Fault code(s) stored in the HVAC control module should be available to assist with diagnoses. AutoZone will perform a free diagnostic scan.

My lesabre blows warm air on driver side cool air on passenger side

If you have dual climate control, you most likely have a low freon level. The evaporator can get cold enough for the passenger side (where the evaporator is located), but not cold enough to transfer cold air to the passenger side. Have it inspected for a leak and the freon level topped off.

Impala has dual climate control. AC blows cold on

with a dual climate control system, it is imperative for a proper refrigerant charge to be maintained. the symptom you describe is a possible indicator of low charge on the system. the ac evaporator core is closest to the right side of vehicle thereby making air feel cooler on that side, on the left side of the vehicle the cooled air has farther to travel and warms up from cabin air before it discharged from the vents. this is the most probable issue for your vehicle...however if the charge is accurate, the issue would be more so in the air temperature doors which is located deep inside the dash...i hope this helps...good luck!

The thermostat adjustment control may need to be replaced. Also check the hose on the back for cracks, clogs, or missing.

Passenger side blows hot air when front control set to Air

you cant adjust it ,this requires the dealers computer to re set it,or a phyiscal control has packed up like a vacumn pipe has split where it pushes onto the valve that controls the flap in the heater unit.
