My 94 ranger had a problem of starting when it wanted and running bad. I took it to a ford dealer and they replaced and ignition sensor and fuel pump sensor and it did the trick. On the ranger they are located in a fuse box just behind the battery. They are 1in square black pull out cubes. If you find where they are at,go to part place and ask which on is the fuel pump sensor and the ignition sensor, replace it it makes it go like a new one ,if this is the problem. I almost replaced the fuel pump, because that is what it felt like, a bad pump. Boy would that have been a mistake. Good Luck, JOHN from Oregon

91 Lumina won't stay running; see lots of same question for same car but no problem solvers....Please help.

On electronic fuel injection pumping an pumping an pumping the gas pedal does nothing without the engine running ! Pushing the gas pedal to the floor will cause the PCM - engine computer to go into clear flood mode .

You have some very interesting ideas here , but not really how it works or is !

The vehicle will go into closed loop fuel control when the engine coolant temp reaches a definded temp an the O2 sensor get hot.

She would run for a couple minutes and die which is open loop when running, closed loop is when the sensors kick and it would die. Pulled spark plugs, they were black meaning no spark. Can only be 2

Black spark plugs indecate a rich condition , over fueled , wet spark plugs indecate no spark .

Car stalling out and bot starting after being driven for awhile.

mcdevito75 Here, It"s possible the ignition Module is going bad, no way to test and if so, one day the car will not start at all.----------It can also be a vapor loc, wher the fuel is evaporating before it reaches the cylinders. Best Bet, have your local shop check both these items.

Suburban stalls while driving after running for 15-30 minutes. After letting it sit for 5-10 min it runs fine for another 5-10 minutes, then starts doing it all over again.

a bad crank sensor can cause this. shuts off while going down road, and will start about 10 min, later with no problems runs fine until it quits again. hope this helps,
