Question about 1997 GMC Sonoma
When the head lights are turned on, they only stay on for a moment and go directly to day time running lights. I took the switch apart and cleaned it, but didn't help the problem. Could the relay be failing if there is one? To my knowlege there is not a sensor.
There is no sensor, I had the same problem. I just got irratated and bought a new switch, and the problme was fixed.

Fuel injectors may be dirty.. or plugged.
The car just sitting there may have caused the gas to go bad which may have
given them a head start on plugging from the get go. Get some cleaner for it.
When the dash lights blink, is it unlike anything you've seen it do before?
