I have the 1999 suburban, and my mechanic says that the injectors are worn, and that when you shut off the engine, fuel pressure continues briefly and the injectors "leak" a bit, flooding the engine briefly. That's why after they still start right up after a few minutes, i.e., not enough time to flood, or they start up cold, having drained any of the fuel out of the injectors. Park for a couple hours, and you've got a mildly flooded engine. Replacing the injectors is what he suggested, but that is pricey. Not sure if this is the answer or not, but it's what I've been told. Good luck!

Wheres the fuel filter located

The fuel filter is in the carburetor in your suburban. Just follow the fuel line to the carburetor and the filter will be in the carburetor. Good luck and keep me posted. Be glad to help. You can pick up the filter from Auto Zone and they will have the step by step instructions to replacing the the fuel filter and also a good thing to buy a fuel line wrench so you don't strip the nut holding the fuel line to the carburetor

My suburban will not start its like its not getting fuel

Try replacing the fuel filter first and checking the fuse and relay to the fuel pump. You can get that information for Auto Zone where you can pick up the fuel filter too. Good luck and hope this helps. keep me posted, be glad to answer any questions you may have.

Fuel pressure regulator had no vacuum line connected

another engineers wet dream. think of it this way . what is normally in the intake when the engine is running.. answer vacume, hence the regulator gets its vacume without a hose connected to it as its already in a full time vacume hose required . ps be carefull to seat the regulator and o rings securely into the housing befor you reattach the secureing metal clip.
good luck chris

Evaporative emissions control system pressure sensor 99' suburban

Hello, You have an emission sytem problem . The actual sensor is on top of the fuel tank that lets the system know how much air pressure is on the system, its made in the fuel pump module, but if your system has a po440 code do not waste your time replacing it. You (99 percent sure) will have a canister and vent valve. They will cost about 150 dollars to replace. Please rate my answer. Thank You.
