Hi, I have changed the fuel pump in my 2000 Olds Bravada. The new pump ran the truck for 15 min and then stalled like it had before all over again. I don't believe the new pump is bad, I checked the relay fuse and cannot even hear the pump turn on when you turn on the key... is there something I am missing? I would check the fuel psi but the pump doesn't turn on thus not pumping any fuel... is there something electrical/fuse wise making the pump not engage? Thank you for any info... this forum has always been very helpful to me with this Albatross of an Oldsmobile!!!
You check the relay?Make a tool out of the relay take the relay apart collapse it.to make full contact and stick it back in,key does the fuel pump come on?If yes keep it like this for 15 minutes if the vehicle stall, the problem is not the fuel pump, The ECM must see a RPM of 250 or more in order to turn the fuel pump on. If it doesnt see a RPM of a 250 it doesnt even know its running.Okay back to the tool you made,This only trouble shoot the fuel pump system

You can try to test the relay for function by swapping it with a known good working relay. If this does not work, you can put a jumper between the terminals that energize the pump (relay removed, ignition off). (On the Bosch Jetronic systems I used to work on, the pump would energize even with the ignition off). If there is still no sound, briefly turn the ignition on, and listen for the pump to energize. If you heard nothing, assume the pump is defective. I found most fuel pump problems and failures to occur in vehicles with 125,000 to 175,000 miles of use.
You may also try to check the Hall effect sensor ( a magnetic pulse detector that controls both spark and fuel flow) located within the distributor body (where the spark-plug wires attach to the distributor.
And finally, if that is good, check the ignition module within the distributor. It's a sealed transistorized circuit bolted to the inside of the distributor body with 5mm bolts.

go to an auto parts store and use there code reader it should point you in the right direction.

Are you one of those people who TOP OFF the tank when filling up?
When the EVAP recovery system soak with few ounce of gasoline......the trap vapor will take few days escape.
EVAP system is design to handle fuel vapor. Few ounce of gasoline
can damage the fuel vapor recovery relay and decrease the service live
of the recovery lines.
=========
You can accelerate the process by locating the charcoal canister (near
the nose of the car and same side as your gas filler door)
MOVE the car to outdoor.
Disconnect the EVAP line and let it air out by itself.
DO NOT introduce any heat source or fan to speed up the process.
Reconnect this EVAP hose and use a small amount of starting fluid at the intake manifold.

I do believe it is a maxi fuse in a little fuse box in the fender right beside the battery.

From the fuel system troubleshooting guide - 1993 Oldsmobile Achieva
Inspect Fuel Pump Low Fuel Pressure.
Inspect Fuel Pump Relay - Faulty Fuel Pump Relay.
Inspect Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator - Faulty Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator.
Inspect Fuel Pump Strainer - Clogged or Dirty Fuel Pump Strainer.
Inspect Engine Control Computer - Incorrect Operating Information Being Delivered and Sent From The EEC.
Inspect Fuel Tank - Fuel Tank Empty.
Inspect Fuel Line - Fuel Line leaky/kinked/loose/disconnected
