Question about 2002 Volkswagen Golf

Timing my 1.4i 2001 polo timing is not steady . it goes back and forth,tried setting it but will not stop moving.

    i want to know if there is any other way to set timing on the polo, because a guy said something about bridging a wire and then setting the timing.

The timing belt will need to be changed then thatts the only reason why that will do that

Try lubeing the rails I recomend blaster a product available at wallmart or auto zone and numeres other locations. Lube rails than move seat back and forward if this was helpful please leave good feed back

Vw polo 1.4 tdi idle problem


Hey.. i just had this exact problem in my GTI and after 2 weeks of trial and error, I had to replace my Coolant Temp Sensor.. it was bad so it threw off the fuel metering valve which was part of the crazy idling problem.. I cant be 100% sure because our cars are not exactly the same but I mean we have the EXACT same symptoms so .. justa suggestion. Use the VAG-COM sensor reader and you'll be golden.
