Question about 2002 Oldsmobile Alero
I have a 2002 4 door Alero. The window regulator is completely shot. The white plastic pieces are broken. I know how to rix it, but i need to know where to get the parts. Is there a compatible car or another olds with the same automatic window system?
Any good parts store will be able to order these parts. Gm has to make these parts for 15 years. but the auto parts stores can get them through Dorman, and save you a ton!

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Ive heard it called a few things but Stone guard/sheild is what it should be refered to as because thats what its there for, to keep stones or other similar objects from flicking up and getting inbetween any one of the pullys and belts. Mine also got damaged on my nissan skyline gtr and dont have one anymore with no problems.

I have a 91 Caprice with the same problem. I live in Atlanta, GA. and I could not find any autoparts store selling these pieces. I eventually found them at www.clipsandfasteners.com
The part number is : A20424 GM Front Window Guides 1 13/16 total length. They come in a box of 5 pieces. Cost $4.92 for 5 pieces. I had to replace one on all of my windows. The piece is the same piece used on the back windows too. They are a trick to get in. You have do a little bending of the aluminum thing they slide into. In the end a big C-clamp works slick to get the regulator arm piece to pop into the nylon piece. Patience is needed.

Best to get a new handle, if you happen to have an accident, you really dont want the handle falling of as you need to get out. Try the auto dismantlers if a new one is too expensive
