Sounds like the torque converter. I would try flushing the fluid first. When the fluid is dirty it will cause this also.

Check fluid level. Fluid should also look reddish in color. May need Trans service done. Sounds like valve body is sticking.

That is when clutch slip happens-when the clutch is released. If the clutch disc is worn badly, it won't hold tight against the engine flywheel-it will slip, causing that shudder you feel. Have a mechanic verify this, but it sounds like you need a new clutch.

1999 Ford Expedition- Hood release does not work.

Lie down on the floor board and look up under the hood release latch and see if the cable has unhooked itself of broken away from the plastic handle? If it has use a pair of needle nose plier and pull the cable to release the hood.

About the shuddering, I'll need more info. Is it a vibration or a sluggish running of the engine?

It sounds like there could be 2 possible problems. 1) the spark plugs might be too old and do not convert power efficiently causing it to shudder or even stall when power needs increase (I suggest a tune-up). Or 2) the timing could be off and needs to be adjusted by a mechanic, while you're at it you might want to see how worn your timing belt is, if it no longer grips it can cause off time explosions in the valve chambers and you'll definitely get some shaking action and even stalling and if it snaps, the car won;t be going anywhere (til the belt it gets replaced).

Power Steering pump appears to be leaking but is full????

Just guessing. Could it be a warped brake disk? That would cause vibration. And vibration in steering might conceivably cause splashing out the power steering reservoir. You would know if the disk were warped by a shudder when you brake at hight speeds.
