Question about 2008 Saturn Aura Hybrid

Open Question

Remote Starter Where can I get a wiring diagram, with pin locations/numbering for the J1, J2, J3 plugs on the BCM for free. I am trying to install a remote starter, "Ready Remote". Any other help would be appreciated.

I think these are the 2 diagrams you need, but they aren't that useful in this form. I recommend you post a request at the bottom of the following site to get a better answer: http://www.modifiedlife.com/request-saturn-remote-start-wiring-diagram/

SOURCE: i have a 2002 jeep

I've seen a few of these and the easiest fix is to replace both the blower motor speed controller/resistor and the wiring harness connector. I've tried fixing the connector but the repairs don't last because of the heat generated at the connector if everything isn't just right. You can purchase the connector, which comes with color coded pigtail wires attached, from the dealer and it's a fairly easy and permanent fix. Hope this helps and good luck!

Factory alarm wont turn off on a 2001 Chevrolet monte Carlo. Making honk go off till it drains battery.

Without much information it is just a guess as to what is causing the alarm to continually honk the horn, but something is obviously putting the alarm into activated mode. Are you trying to use a key that doesn't have the programmed chip in it? Have you changed the ignition or changed the radio?

The red light on the radio displays the alarm system status by slowly flashing while in the secure mode. You should have noticed this before when you locked the car and walked away. The light will be solid, flash slowly or flash rapidly depending on the state of the alarm system. Your owner's manual should give you more information on the system. The car has what is called a PassLock security system which matches the VIN stored in the radio's memory with the VIN stored in the car's computer memory.

To reset the system try the following procedure:

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

  2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).

  3. Observe the SECURITY light on the radio, after approximately 10 minutes the light should OFF.

  4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.

  5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes (the vehicle is now ready to relearn the PASSLOCK(TM) Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK).

Make sure your battery is fully charged on the car, as this procedure may make the battery go dead if it isn't fully charged.

If you are using your key to unlock the door, and them opening the door, your alarm is shouldn't be going off. These cars have a feature called Passlock. Therefore your key has a chip in it, and when using that key to unlock your door, it also deactivates the alarm. The factory alarm does not require you to use the key fob to deactivate it. Both the key, and key fob will deactivate it. A key without the chip will not work properly.

To test the alarm on the doors, rolling down the driver's door window, lock the car using the key fob, wait a minute or so. The alarm should be set now. Reach through the window, and manually unlock the door (DON'T use the power door lock switch, or the key fob) then open the door from the outside. The alarm should go off at this point if working properly. The following is the wiring so you can trace the wires to find a possible short of the wiring. It shouldn't be a short though if working and is probably something you have changed on the car.

I want to know if the motor on the 1998 elantra is a j1 modle or j2? Where can I look to see what it is?

The engine ID number is above the trans, printed on the block, below the head. There may be a emission decal under the hood showing a J1 or J2, if you call the Hyundai Parts dept with your VIN number they should be able to tell you.

Hi Suzman, The ORPS Can you tell us what sort of switch it is....what is the operation....Are there any moving parts which can be heard....Is it crytal or make and break...? If you have a diagrame that...

No moving parts. It uses a piezzo-electric crystal. Cannot be tested with a multimeter.
Connected 5V reference voltage(ECM connector J1-4, shared with APS, MAP EGR sensors), Negative (ECM J2-22, shared with APS, MAP EGR sensors) and then the output signal(to J2-7) corresponds to pressure sensed. Also has earthed sheath(screen) around the wiring to prevent error signals due to induction from external voltages.
Error codes P0192(Low pressure), P0193 (High pressure)

My 2002 dodge grand caravan turn signal and wipers do not work

Probably is the Body Control Module if you have checked the fuses in the fuse box and none are blown and you have verified power is coming to the wiper and signal switch. One simple fix you can try with the battery disconnected it to unplug and then replug the wriring harness to the BCM that fixed a Chrysler T&C that had the same problem. I also include what someone else gave as advice.
The body control module is located under the dash, directly behind the junction block that contains all the fuses/relays/plugs. The way you could verify that the wiring up to the bcm (from the wiper control) is working, before you go to the expense of replacing it, would be to locate the black plug on the bottom of the bcm (if you look under the junction block/bcm assembly you should see a gray connector and a black connector protruding from the underside of the bcm) and pull that plug, which is the one closer to the cowl. I believe you will find a dark green/yellow wire on pin #7 (from the wiper control) of the plug and a black/light green wire on pin #10 (ground). You may probe those wires with straight pins inserted thru the insulation so as to contact the internal conductor, then replace the plug (but make sure the straight pins don' touch oneanother), turn on the ignition switch to 'run', and measure the voltage between the two pins, you should find that the voltage will change proportionately as you cycle the wiper control through the six different positions of intermittancy. If not, then there is something the matter with the wiper control or its wiring. If the voltage is changing proportionately, then the manual does say to replace the bcm as the solution for that problem.
