You will need to replace the thermostat in the cooling system of the engine.
FixYa.com claims they have factory repair manuals, they have nothing of the sort, this is not to say some experts may have manuals, we do, but we work from home and in most cases have a small library. Experts are not employed by FixYa.com, we help free of charge as much as we can with the general automotive knowledge we have learned while working as auto technicians, specific test values, repair procedures and illustrations are unique to each car line, these are not in most cases available to us. Thanks for using FixYa!

R reg Audin A6, heater stopped working mid-trip, now warning light for low coolant level keeps coming on.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU MAY HAVE AIR BLOCK, OR A STICKING THERMOSTAT,CHECK FIRST CHECK THE HIGHT OF THE HEATER MATRIX IN THE CAB , IF ITS HIGHER THAN THE FILLER/EXPANSION TANK. THEN COULD BE AN AIR LOCK, LOOK FOR THE HIGHEST PIPE AND SEE IF THERE IS A BLEED VALVE, IF NOT TAKE BOTH PIPES OFF THE MATRIX FEEDS (TWO PIPES GOING FROM ENGINE BAY TO INSIDE OF CAR, AND FLUSH OUT WITH HOSE TO SEE IF IT IS BLOCKED, AND RECONNECT LOWEST PIPE FIRST AND FILL SYSTYM TILL WATER APPEAR FROM TOP AND RECONNECT RUN MOTOR, AND KEEP TOPIN UP, IF YOU LOSE WATER AFTER THAT THEN COULD BE THERMOSTAT, OR MORE SERIOUS

Don't know what warning light means

What exactly does the warning light look like? It is probably the transmission warning light. The transmission uses the radiator to cool the transmission fluid. You need to have your cooling system serviced on a 10 year old car. Drain, flush, fresh coolant, new thermostat. A full service. Keep driving and you may end up with a transmission repair. Good luck.

Random Overheating Problem on Peugeot 206

It sounds like your thermostat has gone bad and sticking close, Replace the Thermostat and Antifreeze. When replacing the thermostat, buy a fail safe thermostat so you will not have a overheating problem when the thermostat fails. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to help.

Check Data Communication Link (DCL)

Look for a missing ground in the circuit. Almost sounds like your missing ground is being sought through other accessories. You will need a ground/power test light - This type lights Green for ground/and Red for power to find the problem.
