1993 honda accord/ dont know

I asked you recently about a sputtering problem with my accord. The fuel pump is getting power, ireplaced the fuel filter o2 sensor. i also found the coolant temp sensor broke smooth off. I replaced the coolant temp sensor and was sure this would fix the problem. It started right up, and idled ok after replacing the temp sensor then died and wont start back up. I am lost any suggestions?

Sounds like the ignitor in the distributor has gone bad. The cheaper way out is just buying a good used distributor from the bone yard. I've had this same problem several times on these Hondas.

My 1993 honda accord sputters when accelerating

If you can't answer when the last time you changed the fuel filter it might not be a bad idea to change it. It could also be a vacuum leak as older cars ran on vacuum controls for emissions and things like that. listen for a possible whistle when accelerating or air being sucked in like a vacuum cleaner. Could also be a bad map sensor, or O2 sensor.

Car sputters at high rpms

Its either your fuelk pump or fuel filter that is causing your problem you need to have filter replaced to see if that solves your problem if not then it is your fuel pump you will need to have replaced.

Engine sputtering

I would change your fuel filter, if that doesn't do it check your fuel pressure with a gauge at your schrader this is a pretty simple test if you are not getting enough pressure, then test your fuel pressure regulator, if it's bad replace it. if it's good got to your fuel pump, I am assuming you don't have or even know what a DSO is, so if you traced it to a fuel pump, take it to an auto technican and ask them to do a fuel current ramping test and this will tell you your fuel pump rpm's most of todays properly operating fuel pumps spin from at least 4000 rpm to 6500 rpm. happy motoring!

93 honda accord fuel pump??

Check the distributor by letting the car run and tug on the wiring and see if the car acts up. Under the thermostat housing is a wiring harness, I've seen coolant drip on the connector of the O2 sensor and cause this problem too. The main relay is the switch you're referring to. It's located under the dash of the driver's side to the left. I've definitely seen these go bad. Use a test light on the hot wire to the fuel pump. Have an assistant turn the key in the "on" position and see if you have power there. Let me know what you found out so I can hopefully give you more things to check out. Send me emails to tiqautoperformance@live.com.
