Re: check engine on ,
Ahhhhhhh... you had the key on while you had to MAFS disconnected. Well, the computer saw that there was a bad signal from that sensor and it turned the light on. Once there are a certain number of "drive cycles" without the problem, the computer sees that the system is functioning properly and turns the light off. The code will still be stored in memory until it reaches 40 drive cycles without seeing a malfunction, at which time, that code will be erased from memory.
Just a note: don't leave the ignition turned on when you are disconnecting any sensors under the hood. That could lead to a real expensive issue that could have been avoided...

If you just want to replace the bulb yourself, this is a good website.

It could be in the IPDM E/R location under the hood. This is next to the coolant bottle. Remove the coolant bottle with two screws and lift the cover to the IPDM E/R. Just set the coolant bottle aside for now. The low beam fuses are 49 and 50. They are 15A fuses. To be more precise, they are located on row 2, columns 2 and 3 (column 1 being closest to the fender of the car). Hope this helps.
when you got the spark chances are you shorted the receptacle for the bulb on the low side you should check the fuse for this . the drivers side low beam worked before so i would say you blew the fuse. on the passenger side check for broken ,frayed ,or loose wires in the light harness and the plugs them selves chances are you will find a short in them. please rate this solution
