Question about 2002 Nissan Altima
I have an nissan altima 2,5 year 2002, yesterday i had to change low beam light on the driver side, to change it i had to remove all air intake, when the job was done, reinstall air intake , when i turn on the engine service engine soon came on and i don't understand why, because i didn't touch any sensor or something else.
someone can help my with this problem. thank you
Ahhhhhhh... you had the key on while you had to MAFS disconnected. Well, the computer saw that there was a bad signal from that sensor and it turned the light on. Once there are a certain number of "drive cycles" without the problem, the computer sees that the system is functioning properly and turns the light off. The code will still be stored in memory until it reaches 40 drive cycles without seeing a malfunction, at which time, that code will be erased from memory.
Just a note: don't leave the ignition turned on when you are disconnecting any sensors under the hood. That could lead to a real expensive issue that could have been avoided...
