Question about 2004 GMC Sierra
Bought this gmc sierra 1500 last fall. 4x4 extended cab. I noticed the brakes just aren't like my 1976. During a panic stop the truck will keep rolling and the pedal bounces off the floor. It has a much longer braking distance than seems normal. I've installed steel brake lines, machined all the rotors and deglazed the pads. Just didn't help. I took it to the dealer I bought it from and they said the brakes are fine. I have noticed the hotter the brakes are the better they grab, When cold there is a longer braking distance. It has oem pads, I'm thinking maybe some aftermarket organic pads might be better, but not sure. Have you heard of this before? Thanks, Bob
