You should get the code red by a dealer, if not and you have just changed the pads, then some time the code needs clearing, this merc can do for you or a good garage that has a DC. If not i may know man that can, let me know your area.

Mneed to know how to retrieve a trouble code and then solve the issue

You will need at least a code reader

You can go to the parts store for the
Generic Codes

Then you need to study, in your case
OBD1 Systems

Maybe you will be able to solve your
issues. Only if you don't get caught up
in believing the car shelf diagnoses it's
self,so you get a code and throw parts
at it. That is why all these folks are on this site

Have had these codes a year now and can not solve the issue recently changed PCV valve but did not solve the issue

First--you gave us no vehicle description
Second-you gave us no drivability issues or problems your having
Third-Why would you drive around one year, with a check light on and codes, that is neglect and abuse
Fourth- PCV Valves-never need to be changed, clean if you like, every four years, they do absolutely nothing. They are only there, to regulate air flow from crankcase to induction. Educate yourself.
