Just got a new battery 2 months ago, now my battery light is on an the battery died.

Just had a similar issue with my 09 CVPI.
Charge the battery, start the car.
Car starts and is running, good.
Now disconnect the ground from the battery.
The car still runs. Battery or wire issues something is draining the battery.
Car dies. The alternator is shot.
Got to junk yard find one for your vehicle.
My "battery" light came on and I pulled both the battery and the alternator too them to be tested. Both tested good on their systems. Did the above test and changed the alternator. No issues as of yet and no "battery light. Problem solved.
Junk yard alternator $25.00, $5.00 core.
New alternator $355.xx plus tax and $15.00 core.
Core is money I will get back when I turn in the old alternator.

1991 ford escort battery keeps dying

Check and clean and tighten all battery, starter, and alternator connections. Also the battery and engine to chassis grounds. Did you have the battery " load tested" as a good test requires?
Take the battery out and have it charged up. If the alternator is good, you should not have any more problems. But if you need a jump after a few days to start it, then either the alternator or the battery is just not up to par. Have the alternator tested while on the car and running.
Good luck.

I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP....while i was driving it just went dead and wouldn't start back up. Could it just be the battery? Before it died it was cutting out.

Your alternator went out allowing the battery to die, taking away power from the spark plugs, Please get new alternator and replace battery this should fix your problem.

regulator is built in to alternator, you need to have it tested. My guess is it's time for a replacement. Most parts places like autozone, will test it for you & sell you the proper one to replace it.
