It sounds like it needs a better ground. Pull out the stereo and run a ground wire to the body and sand around the screw or bolt so it is touching the metal and run that to your stereo.

HIGH PITCH WHINNING NOISE IS FAULTY TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP.HAVE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE CHECK AT A TRANSMISSION SHOP.IF TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP TOO WEAK OR MALFUNCTION.YOUR TRANSMISSION WONT HAVE ENOUGH OIL PRESSURE FOR FORWARD GEAR , REVERSE GEAR, BAND OR SHIFT VALVES IN VALVE BODY.NOTHING WILL WORK TRANSMISSION.OIL PUMP LIKE HYDRALIC PUMP KEEPS EVERY THING WORKING..

1998 Honda Civic Manual When in gear and accelerating the car makes a high pitch wine, which has gotton worse thru time. When at idle and under rev in idle there is no sound at all.

Well for one thing stop driving it before more damage
occurs. If it's not a problem with the transmission, you
may have a bad wheel bearing or cv joint. If you want
to check the wheel bearings, get up to speed and steer
left and right just enough to alter direction. If the noise
lessens or temporarily goes away, it's the wheel bearing.
Also check you gear oil level in the transmission. If no
noise in idle, I guess you can rule out the engine.

2002 Olds Intrigue GLS makes a high pitched whinning noise while the engine is running. However when I give it gas it quiets down until I let off. I am not sure if it is the Serpentine belt or a...

that sure sounds like a vacuum leak ...the vacuum is highest when you let off the gas or at idle.. its lowest when you "give it the gas" ... you can use a small hose from your ear (or stethoscope) to listen to areas around the engine to find where the noise is coming from... check for a loose fan belt also ...check for cracked vacuum hoses .... if you suspect a bearing making the noise ... you can spray a little oil onto each bearing until you hear a difference in one ... in fact the noise might go away if thats the problem ..

High pitched electronic/dentist drill sound when accelerating.

Probably the front differential, your probably hearing the famous differential gear whine. Change the oil, put Lucas for gears in it. You can get a hand operated oil pump to **** it out through the dip stick if it has one. Then fill it with the recommended amount.

Galant 2003,Abnormal whinning noise on gear shifting.

I would have the transmission fluid checked to see if it needs any added and if it doesn't it sounds like a bearing going out or something. I would take the car to the dealer, since it's fairly a newer model and see if they can find the source of the problem. they are best when it comes to knowing everything about your car than any other shop around.
