Have you made sure fuel return line is clear(if fitted)Disconnect fuel return line, remove fuel cap and gently blow compressed air down the line.Another person can listen at the fuel filler for the sound of bubbles and air to confirm its clear. If memory serves you have the solex style carb you may have to check that they are in a servicable condition(needle/seat etc).Have you fitted an after market hi volume fuel pump?

Hi I have a 1979 55hp evinrude and it keeps flooding. I take the fuel line off and its fine till it runs out if fuel Any advice to fix this problem ?

there is a problem with the needle on the end of the float
AS the rubber in the fuel system is subject to failure inside from the petrol, there is every possibility that a bit of rubber is holding the needle off the seat and that is allowing the flooding
If you have never replaced rubber parts in the fuel system, then now would be a good time ti consider all rubber from the tank to the carby including the rubber in the fuel pump and pressure bulb

Why is my 03 range rover keep start up and shuting off after 30 seconds

does it restart again? if so sounds like a fuel delivery/system pressure problem.is it petrol or diesel? change the fuel filter which ever it is, first thing to do. check for fault codes. and check the pressure if its a petrol,

Why my 1998 range rover 4.0 se won't start unless I use starter fluid. It will only turn over without it.

did you hit a big bump when it stopped? you may have a fuel emergency shut-off switch that tripped or a blown fuse.

Pumping gas

very possibly as the tank is not venting properly. What ever if you cannot fix the flooding ( adjust the float level correctly) there is a fuel pressure regulator that you can buy after market from speed shops that you can fit in the line and the pressure is then regulated to prevent the carby flooding from excessive pressure in the pump and lines.

Where is the Fuel Cutoff Switch location on a 2001 Land Range Rover

The INERTIA CUT OFF SWITCH is located in the front passenger footwell. Under the glove box, against the outside wall is a small triangular panel. There is a small pop-out access panel built into it and if you look close you will see a gas pump icon molded into the plastic. You can reach the switch thru the pop-out with a forefinger but that is about it. Much easier to remove the small panel and have easy access to the complete switch for any troubleshooting. Good luck. Hope this helps.

My 1991 toyota 4runner keeps blowing the efi fuse and my engine floods gas. what could be the problem?

Check the EFI main relay, the circuit opening relay, and the fuel pump relay. Inside the fuel pump relay there is a switch controlled by a coil. During start, the fuel pump gets full power for a couple of seconds to build up pressure. Once pressure is good, the fuel pump relay is supposed to switch (via the coil) the fuel pump to reduced power. If the coil in the relay is bad, the reduced power setting is not available and the fuel pump will run at full power all the time. At this heavy current draw, it won't be long until the EFI fuse blows. This would also give more pressure than is necessary to the cold start fuel injector which runs on a timer. This extra pressure during the time that the cold start injector is operating may be the reason the engine is flooding with fuel.
