I am also working on the belt of my 2005 Camry 2.4L. It seems that the tricky part is the new automatic tensioner equiped on this car (and any model after 2002).

This thing is totally different from the Jack screw type tensioner. It was said that put a long wrench on the 19mm nut like thing and pull it clockwise will loose the belt tension. However, I tried it and it did not work for me. Any other tricks? Thanks!

Look carefully under the hood, car manufacturers place a decal w/ the belt routing diagram somewhere under the hood in the engine compartment. If u can't find it, check your owners manual, if u don't have one, let me know and I will research further to find it for u.

I have an 89 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder and I need to know what belt this is.

your photo is not good so I will give a generic answer
it is the drive belt for the accessories on the engine ( water pump, alternator .ac compressor ,power steering pump
if it "V" shaped it is a V belt
if it is many grooved it is a serpentine belt
the difference is that "V" belts only flex around a pulley where serpentine (grooved ) belts have the grooves around some grooved pulleys and the back runs around flat pulleys
it is not a timing belt

Hours to replace toyota camry time belt

What engine?

the 2.4 has a timing chain and the chain should not need to be serviced under normal driving conditions.

The V-6 has a timing belt. Book time is roughly 3 hours. Add another 1/2 hour if you want to replace the water pump at the same time.

If you are referring to the vehicle having a "Timing Belt", no, it does not have one.
The 2002 Camry 4 cylinder has a Timing CHAIN, and does not need to be replaced.
