Question about 1988 Volkswagen Fox
The dummy light for the engine cooling flashes about five times then stops. this happens when the car is turned on. the engine temp stays about half way on the gauge while im driving. looked through the haynes manual and cant find anything on dummy lights...any body got an idea what i should be checking?
Hello, the fox coolant warning light flashes when key is first turned on to let you know that the light and its controller are working. On my fox, the controller is shorted and the coolant light flashes every now and then, like it has a personality. Anyway, this information comes from my expirience with foxes and it is backed up by the bentley repair manual. If you need any more advice feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Have fun!
