I have all the correct voltage at the battery posts, battery wires, even the alternator. it just wont send the charge back to the battery. Also the battery lite doesnt come on when you turn the key to the on position.I have replaced the battery, atlernator, battery cables, even the whole cluster in the dash, and Im still having a problem with it not charging and the battery lite still doesnt come on..(The regulater is on the back of the alternator, not on the fender well or fire wall) PLEASE HELP!!

Rebuilt alternators don't always work,  have it checked.  But first, there is a small "excite" wire that goes into the alternator, if this wire does not provide some voltage, the alternator will not put out.  Look for this wire and see if it has voltage when truck ignition switch is on.  There can only be 2 or 3 little (12 gaugeish) wires to the back of the alternator ... one of them should be carrying 12 volts.
good luck

Check for blown fuses& make sure the red wire to alt. is getting 12volts. also ford uses fusible links witch look like regular wires. usually you can tell by feeling the wire itself if it feels squishy and when you pull on it it stretches chances are its bad. try an ohm meter at each end no continuity no connection

Hi, some models may have an external regulator. Check with your local parts chain to verify you do not have an external regulator. If you do, it is probably fried.

1987 Nissan Sentra diagram for fuel line routing

There are many online wiring diagram solutions, but the cheapest way to find your diagram is to purchase a haynes or chilton manual from the local auto parts store. Both have excellent wiring, fuel lines, brakelines, etc diagrams. I prefer the Haynes manual myself.

I have a 1999 f150 the alternator checks out ok at the parts store and i ohmed out the wiring to it seems to be fine but it wont charge what do i need to check

Is it really not charging, or is your battery not taking a charge?

Are your battery terminals clean and tight?

Have you had a load test done on the battery? A failing battery won't hold a charge (this is not to be confused with a alternator not charging)

check the battery. it may not be holding a charge!! at battery with car off it should read at least 13 volts, with it running at battery it should read 14 or a bit higher. have a good day!! check the engine and battery grounds also.

New gear. and no charge

You've cleaned & checked & tightened all your battery connections good, and looked for thinning wires at battery terminal ends? Check all the grounds (-) at other end of battery terminals, and make sure they are clean & tight. What voltage do you read at battery when engine running, and not running? Next time you have to boost it to start, try just connecting the (-) negative & see if it starts, if it does you have a bad ground connection somewhere.

F250 NEED HELP!!!

The only thing I could suggest is that if you bought a remanufactured alternater you may have gotten a bad one. It tends to be hit or miss with any remanufactured part.
