Question about 2006 Scion tC

2006 scion TC Hard starting

I think I got a bad tank of gas. After filling I started having great trouble getting it to start. I have changed the air filter and plugs and have put fuel injector cleaning fluid in the gas tank. The car has 37,000 miles on it. What else can I do before bringing it to the dealer?

Does it start if you give it gas when turning the key? I had a grand prix that would not want to start unless I gave it gas. It was an easy fix. I changed the air filter, used MAF cleaner to clean the MAF and I also took the throttle body apart and cleaned that. The throttle body had a black build up in it that I cleaned up with throttle body cleaner.

Fuel tank scion, broke metal valve under gas cap. What problem could that cause if any?

Have you started it since? depending on how involved the ecm is with the car, you might not have a problem at all, except for taking turns and fuel leaking out.
