1999 Cherokee Jeep sound system

I recently replaced the battery of my 1999 Cherokee Jeep, and after checking the car, lights, heater/air con, and wiper, I noticed that no sound were coming from the radio, though I can see that the radio is on and I can change station. What could have been the problem, pls help.

there is no security code for the radio. Before we replaced the battery, all car components were working smoothly, until my mechanic replaced the battery. At first since the radio power ON, I'm thinking of the power amplifier, I looked its fuse, but I can't identify w/c one in the junction box. I have a Haynes manual to look for the description of fuses in the box but it was not that complete.

There are two systems to evaluate.

How do i replace/install a heater core for a 1999 limited edition jeep cherokee 4.0 liter 6cyclinder

I would make sure the core is the problem. You may have a heater control valve that cuts off flow to the core by vac. or a blend door that cuts off air flow thru the core.
You will need a shop manual to replace the core. The dash and console have to come out, along with discharging the ac.

1999 grand jeep cherokee limited air con prob water coming out vent behind driver seat and water drops noted under glove box front passenger side ???? what to do air con recently regased works well but...

You have a leak in your air conditioning compressor Your system works on the reheat principle All air passing through the system is cooled and reheated before it enters the cabin this sould be dehumidified air but it passes through the heater core and sence the air is not dehumidified you are getting condansation as the air flows the heater core that is heated by the engine heat and the water is from condencation because of the leak in the ac compressor The unit is a press fit in the center of it and fials unfortinatly a lot with this disgien of compressor

2003 Jeep Cherokee (Liberty) air con

You most likely have a problem with a part called the air temperature control blend door, it controls the air flow across the AC core or heater core, it is most likely warped or the motor that operates it is defective or in most cases both are in need of replacing. This repair requires the entire dash be removed to access the AC parts.

1999 Jeep Cherokee sport/air vents do not blow out cold or hot while it is on

this sounds like the recirculation door in the heater box is broken and this is a difficult and can be an expensive repair as the dash has to be removed for access. a quick check for this is if you release the glove box and let it hang you will see the heater box if you reach up to the left top you will feel a grid and the recirc flap is housed there you can operate the blower and hot and cold and see if flap moves

Overheating 1999 4.0 Cherokee

Your water pump is going out. Check for tale-tell signs of this one the bottom of the pump near the pulley. Something called a weep hole will show a trail of leakage. Your '99 isn't a sealed system so I won't worry about trapped air too much. You can always get the prestone flush kit. It comes with a t-adapter that will splice into your heater hose. From there you can fill it up all you want.
