Get to the auto parts store get a trans filter and gasket . take the trans oil pan out replace the filter and just replace the fluid that came out when you took the pan out. i did the same with my crown vic and works great. good luck

I would go to a parts store and ask for the to take a test to it(it is free) schucks does it. Or get it a dionosticks done on it but it would be a good idea before you burn it out.

My ford explorer is making a banging noise from the rear and not shifting properlt

I would check the u-joints in the drive shaft. both ends. that will cause hard shifting and a clunk when shifting gears as well.

Gear shifting panel light

I am assuming that your shift lever is on the steering column. Either the bulb for indicator has burned out or the shift indicator switch on the transmission has failed. There are 3 different engine options for this truck and 3 different transmissions. I would need to know which engine and transmission your truck has, to give better info. FYI, you have to remove the instrument cluster to replace the bulb, assuming that is the problem.

I have 2007 ford explorer v6 and i have problems whit my transmission the car dont'n move but i never ws problems

I don't have a solution for you, but I will tell you that Ford Explorers are known to have transmission issues, there are lots of websites that you can just google and find how widespread the issues are. It's sad. I had problems with my car going into gear from park and they replaced the gear shift lever. It works, but now...3 weeks later I am having problems with my ignition switch/key wont' turn. I think they two are related! :(

Trying to find out how to replace the shift solenoid on my 96 explorer Eddie Bauer addition

The shift solenoid is located within the transmission housing, which is accessible by removing the transmission oil pan and filter. It is within the valve body or attached to it.

Have the linkage checked first. If your shifter is 1/8" off, you can totally miss reverse.
