The fuel pump has its own filter/screen regardless of make and model.Yours will be the bolted (high pressure)aluminium type closer to the fuel tank.

HOW DO I FIX A P0627 FUEL PUMP A CIRCUIT OPEN CODE ON MY 2005 2.0 VW BEETLE

This is a fuel pressure issue. chang out the fuel filter (near pass light, cylinder with 4 rubber lines running from the top), not the fuel pump (right next to the filter; follow two of the rubber lines from the fuel filter to the driver side...that's your pump, the shiny squarish looking thing, it'll have 4 hard lines running from the righthand side of it).

Fuel filter on a renauld master

Hi there:
Trace the fuel lines from the injectors to the pump and then filter should be next in line; it's a black cylinder under the bonnet on the drivers side.
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

  • Tip: Caution: Before removing fuel lines or fuel related parts, make sure that the fuel pressure is relieved from the vehicle fuel system. To relieve the pressure in fuel injected systems, remove the fuel pump fuse and run the engine

  • 4. Install the new fuel filter making sure that the flow is in the correct direction. The arrow on the fuel filter is the direction of flow from the tank to the engine.
  • 5. Secure the lines back onto the fuel filter. If applicable, reinstall the fuel pump fuse.
  • 6. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks.
