Maybe you are puttin in the pump hose to far inside the tube. try putting it in a little bit at a time and not entirely into the tube. then try it.

How do I fix my gas tank. I put gas in but it doesn't let me pump without clicking every few seconds. It's not the adjustment of the pump where you move it and it fills.

I don't know year--make--model?
Check vent line and/or evap system. The air in the tank has to go somewhere or it will burp back up the fill tube and shut off the gas pump.

I think my fuel pump is going on my 1993 dodge Dakota 4X4 3.9 motor and the fuel pump is in the Gas Tank . Can I put an Electric Fuel Pump out side of the Tank on the fuel line instead of having to drop...

Yes you can install an inline fuel pump but dropping the tank is pretty easy. It'll take you just a few hours at the most( you wont get gas in your face). And it'll be good for another 10-15 years or more.Make sure it's close to empty. If you do install an inline pump put it as close to the tank as possible after the filter.

Dodge 1500 runs good but seems to run out of gas every 50 miles will only take 6 gal. go another 50 miles same thing. what could be wrong

So, you aren't able to completely fill the tank? If this is the problem, check the vent tube to the gas tank, it's located alongside the fill tube. If it's pinched, bent, or restricted in some way, you will have difficulty putting gas in the truck. The fill tube and vent tube can be replaced as a unit if that's the problem.

When I fill-up my ford contour the gas pump keeps clicking off. can only put in a little gas at a time

Check the vent tube which is alongside the gas fill tube. It's either kinked, bent, pinched, or some how blocked, not allowing easy flow of gas into the tank. Once the tube is open, you will not have trouble. You don't give the year, it's possible it needs to be replaced (comes as a unit with the fill tube) if rusting badly.
