I work on alot of broken power windows. The biggest cause of windows not working properly are the bearings in the gear assembly. The manufacturers use plastic bearings and they wear out and turn to dust. Or break into pieces and jam the assembly up. Open the gear assembly(attached to window motor) and see if the bearings are either falling apart or a part has broken off and is jamming the assembly. These bearings can be replaced with the same bearings used on most passenger car wheel bearings. I hope this is your problem because its and easy fix.
