There are many items that will cause your truck not to be clean
when you spark get weak it will not burn all the fuel and not set a code so a good ign tune up pluga and plug wires and related parts and a good injector cleaner. then you need to take it out for a long drive to clean out the system. i have seen many cars not pass just because of alot of idle time.
you didnt say how many miles are on this jeep or how long since a tune up?

Jeep liberty 2002 erro code p1388

USA liberty.?
which engine which fuel.?
first year, KJ Liberty
on the gas engine, PETROL (gasoline USA name)
that means the ASD relay dropped out.
there are 8 reasons for the ASD to drop .
since you did no post other DTCs (if present)
then this error means, the ASD relay is bad.

one of the 8 reasons is , the the PCM closed the relay
but the ASD output pin failed to go to 12vdc. (a self test this is)
this is a bad RELAY, if lucky. (in electronic, its bad relay or overloaded !)
if not lucky, far worse (shorts there)

new relay time. and pray.
if not relay i can find it but will be lots of tests.
i can detail them.
but see this page
yours fails way 5 listed here of the 8

How do you reset the computer so it can go through emmissions.

I would veture a guess the failure is an emission code problem and the conditions for the failed problem are not met. Make sure the fuel level is just below 3/4 full. That will allow the emissions tests to run. You can also disconnect the battery cable for 10 minutes and that will reset the fault counter.

Failed illinois emission test for no communication. Car will communicate with our snap-on solus pro. Any ideas?

Well first check for power to obd2 connector, the next thing i've seen alot off is a worn connector some of these testing places have worn hook up connectors tell them to try to hold plug in place with a little force but also make sure all the fuses are good , If your scan tool works then theres should also,

Emissions failure due to an evap code

Your emission sensors seem to be just a 'spec' out of normal (I would not call them defective!), but it could also be tainted fuel. Just to pass test I would buy the gas treatment at your local auto parts specifically for emission testing. Ask them at the counter. It will get you passed.

Jeep won't start, nothing works.

the computer controls the engine and emission system and sometimes the transmission, this would not affect the lights and other systems, have you had the battery tested? are the batt cables clean?

O2 sensor 1996 volvo fail emission test

If you have trouble codes stored in your cars computer for O2 sensors a fuse will not fix it. One or all of the O2's may need to be replaced. There are test that can be done to confirm which one.
