Question about 1993 Honda Accord
I have a 93 honda accord dx standard transmission/4 cylinder yesterday after the car was parked for a month i started it up drove about a half a mile it sputtered and died. I couldn't get it started. I went back today it startted and i was able to get it home . I was acting like it was not getting fuel when i gave it more gas it wanted to die around 3000 rpm's.when it died i couldn't get it started. This is my first honda, i have read the relay switch problem and can't find it. should i change the fuel pump and filter? I am at a loss on a limited budget and don't know how to check the fuel pump and filter
Check the distributor by letting the car run and tug on the wiring and see if the car acts up. Under the thermostat housing is a wiring harness, I've seen coolant drip on the connector of the O2 sensor and cause this problem too. The main relay is the switch you're referring to. It's located under the dash of the driver's side to the left. I've definitely seen these go bad. Use a test light on the hot wire to the fuel pump. Have an assistant turn the key in the "on" position and see if you have power there. Let me know what you found out so I can hopefully give you more things to check out. Send me emails to email@example.com.

if it's been sitting for a month, then there's a good chance the gas in it has gone bad. Try adding new fuel or fuel stabilizer and running out the old gas.

I would take it to autozone and have them scan it for trouble codes they do it for free and see what the code is then you can go on from there with further diagnosing...
