It could be that the coil is weak, or the igniter module is faulty (ie not giving the coil enough time to charge), or the fuel filter is blocked, or the exhaust is blocked. I have seen Cat Converters melt down internally and block up the exhaust pipe, causing faults like what you describe. Thats probably the first area i'd check, and easy enough to do so, just remove the Cat from the exhaust and take it for a drive. It'll be noisy, but if it goes heaps better then you know that is the problem. If it doesn't go any better, stick another fuel filter on it (it's probably due for one anyway) and see if that does anything. From there it's probably better to get a mechanic or auto electrician to diagnose the fault. It is also possible that the fuel pressure regulator could be faulty, not keeping sufficient fuel pressure in the fuel rail.

Strange that the dealer could not find the fault. It sounds like they didn't spend long enough on it, but then it can get pretty expensive for diagnosis sometimes. Did they test the Air flow meter? Can be difficult to test even with dealer equipment, often better to swap for a known good one. The problem there is that second hand parts dealers won't usually let you try one to see if it fixes it without buying it, so unless you know someone with the same type of car and you can swap it, it could be a problem to prove. I think the best idea would be to call around a few specialist auto electrical/electronics companies and see if they have seen the problem before, and can give you some advice. It doesn't sound like a mechanical fault if the items I suggested have not rectified the problem. Sorry I couldn't have been of more help to you, but it is difficult when I don't have the vehicle in front of me, just going off the fault description, even though yours was more comprehensive than most. Good luck with your future repair attempts!

My Mazda tribute 2005 has no power at all what could that be

A lack of power in a 2005 Mazda Tribute could stem from various issues. Here are a few potential causes to consider:
Battery: If there's no power at all, start by checking the battery. A dead or faulty battery could prevent the car from receiving any power. Check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness.
Alternator: The alternator charges the battery while the engine is running. If the alternator is faulty, it might not be providing enough power to the car's electrical system. This could result in a loss of power.
Ignition Switch: A faulty ignition switch could prevent power from reaching essential systems in the car, leading to a complete loss of power.
Fuses and Relays: Check the fuses and relays related to the vehicle's power system. A blown fuse or a malfunctioning relay could disrupt power flow to various components.
Starter Motor: If the starter motor fails, it might prevent the engine from starting, resulting in a complete loss of power.
Fuel System: Insufficient fuel supply due to a clogged fuel filter or a faulty fuel pump could cause the car to lose power.
Electrical Issues: Wiring problems, such as damaged or corroded wires, could interrupt power supply to critical components.
Given the broad range of possible causes, diagnosing the specific issue might require a professional mechanic's assistance. A thorough inspection and diagnostic test using specialized equipment can pinpoint the exact cause of the power loss in your Mazda Tribute.

What is the result if the fuel injection is early

Incomplete combustion. Lack of power. Timing is is determined by the PCM. You cannot create an early fuel injection. Why are you considering this?

1990 ford bronco with fuel injected 302 idles and revs fine out of gear but has loss of power and pings when in gear and accelerating...

First thing to try would be different fuel. Use a fuel stabilizer and fill with good gas. see if that helps. Also, check the fuel pressure.

Loss of power in 1989 dodge ram d100

Check your catalitic converter, excessive back pressure will make the vehicle feel like you are pressing the brakes while trying to floor it. Does the converter glow bright red? then there is a problem with the system, most likely a plugged converter, or muffler

Mazda 626

Hi Janieanip01,
Again we need more imfo....Is the vehicle injection?....If it is you'll have to wait until the fuel rail is re-pressurised before it will start....Crank it for about ten seconds at a time so as not to burn out the starter motor....It may be that the vehicle didn't run out of fuel but instead the pump may have given in....and when did you last replace the fuel fiter?
