What are the complexities to changing out the radiator?

There are a few things you wana be carefull of there should be 2 trans cooling lines along with the 2 anti freeze lines that need to be disconnected along with that it should be 2 or 4 bolts that need removing and you might have to remove the fan cover other that that make sure that when you take out the old one lift it strait up and do the same to put in the new one but go strait down

2000 kia sportage radiator fan runs all the time


The thernister has failed. That bis the sensor that turns the fan on. when they fail they fail in the run position to protect from engine overheat. change it soon because the fan will not last long like that.

Did you bleed your system of air???....usually a bleed screw near the thermostat housing...get allllll the air out...simetimes the heater core is at the highest oart if the system..therefore if there is air in system..thats where the air settles and no coolant will flow through the heater cire!!

My 2000 kia sportage radiator went bad and engine light came on and started to blinked and when i came to a stop the car turned off and will not start now even after i changed the radiator and thermostat....


you should probably get a new car, sounds like you emtied the engine of coolant and when you came to a stop it was so hot that it caused irreversible damage. your other option is to find a used engine

it is in the thermostat houseing right in front of the radiator under air intake duct and it is easy to get to and easy to change
