I have a BMW 328i 2008- the car was driving fine- and all of a sudden I stopped for just a moment. When I came Back to turn on the car it wouldn't start- when i pressed the break to turn the car on it was extremely stiff and the engine wouldnt even try to start. It has a new battery and recently had service- what could be causing this?

It could be your Injection pump.

If you're talking about the Anti-Theft Security code for your radio, I'm fairly sure that only a BMW Dealership would be able to retrieve and reset the radio.

You could also try disconnecting the battery terminals for 10-20 minutes, and see if it resets.

SOURCE: Battery on BMW 740i keeps dieing

you need to disconnect one side of the battery, put one lead from an ampmeter on the battery post you have disconnected and the other ampmeter lead on the cable you took off the battery. with nothing turned on on the car , all doors closed the reading on the ampmeter should be no higher than 0.17 amp, if it reads a lot hgher go to the fusebox and remove one by one all the permanent supply fuses looking at the reading every time until you find the circuit that is causing the high reading, this will be the drain. alot of the time it can be central locking system playing up, boot light, glove box light not switching off, stereo wired wrong. hope this helps.

Possibly. 1st have the battery checked though. Pull it out and have a parts store check it (free service). All the lights may work, but the battery may not have enough 'juice' to crank the engine over. Is there a click, or no sound at all? Check terminals and connection at starter also to make sure all are clean and tight.
If battery checks out as fully charged and ok, then pull the starter and have it checked out. Good luck.

Your sensor is going bad or you have to change your oil.

My car will turn off while driving and all the sudden starts shaking very strong. Can it be the gas?

why the fault codes were not read is the question to ask
it could be faulty injector/s position sensor or ignition module all of which would show up as a fault code.
have the codes read before you waste any more cash

This is a transmission problem. I would take it in and have it looked at. You can save your self a few thousand dollars by getting there sooner than later.

How can I reset the crankshaft position sensor on BMW 328i 2008

If you have replaced it and it is working correctly, you can just erase the code or wait for it to shut off once you have driven it for a few miles. if you erased / reset it and it comes back, there is still a fault.

Is very light knocking noise from 1997 328i 6v BMW a concern?

hi, you will need to be very carefull if you buy this car, a knocking engine noise on a engine that has covered this sort of milage may not sound bad at the moment but you could be letting yourself in for an exspensive repair in the near future, these engines suffered with the bore liners wearing and the only repair is a new engine block or replacement engine, regards mark.
