Replace the coil pack. You can try to reset the anti theft by disconnecting the battery cables for 24 hours.

I think you might need to change the fuel pump you can try changing the fuel filter first but it is most likely the fuel pump

04 Grand AM trouble starting in the sun.

I had a Honda Civic that did the same thing, I replaced the multi-relay (which has the computer power relay and fuel pump relay in it) in the car and it never did it again. Your car should have a seperate fuel pump relay, in the black box under the hood. You might also want to have the control module tested after the car sits out in the sun and won't start. Auto Zone can test them. I would also check for fuel at the test fitting on the fuel rail when it won't start. It maybe the relay.

Replace your fuel pump, starting to go out.Not bad idea to also replace fuel filter with fuel pump.

I have a 96 Cavalier. The car is hard to start, but it will eventually start and idle. If I give it gas it will rev a little and then stall. The car sat for quite some time. It has 102,000 miles on it....

Probably code is for rich or lean mix. Fuel filters are a good starting point, also check for airbox or air duct restrictions like a mouse nest since its been sitting, and make sure the exhaust isn't plugged in the same way, (disconnect at the catalytic converter if you have to).

Good luck.

2001 cavalier died while driving, now it wont start

Could be failed fuel pump. Disconnect fuel line at engine and turn over a couple times having something to catch gas in. If electric pump don't turn over engine, just turn key to run position for a few seconds. Maybe clogged fuel filter or faulty pump if no gas shows. Change fuel filter and try again. If none, change pump.
