I have a 1990 GLE Volvo Wagon and it does the same thing. Usually the dashboard lights won't come on but sometimes they will. It's everything...the dash, ac/heat, drive positions, etc. They all light up randomly. Any ideas anyone?

Is it just the instrument cluster or all the lights on the console, radio, and AC unit/fan?

Have someone check fuse under dashboard. Some dashboards have lights wired in series. If one light goes out, they all go out.

The airbag light on the dashboard comes for few reasons, either there is a bad connection or connection came loose but than the light would stay on at all times, if it comes periodically than I would look up to the owner's manual and also find the airbag check label inside the car as it might be faulty or in need of replacement. The danger is that if it is faulty it can blow up by itself or in case of accident (hope none happens) it will malfunction.

Have a look at the dashboard lights dimmer switch. That switch, losing contact momentarily while the lights are on, will cause the lights to flicker.

LIghts shut off while driving and so did the dashboard lights, they will not come back on.

Seeing how I dont know if this is during the night or day, most berettas have daytime and automatic nighttime lights. The dashboard and the lights are connected together and if the sensor is saying that its daytime they are going to switch. I suggest checking your daytime running light sensor to see if it is getting to much saturation of light while driving at night. This could be confusing the computer and turning off the lights. Cant guarentee that this is fix it but its a good place to start.

Dashboard light on not sure it's meaning

Hello!

A sign like this 30450c7.jpg indicates that your parking brake pads(shoes) are worn, and are in need of replacement.

A sign like this 937110c.jpg indicates that there is problem with the ABS system (can be anythig from a faulty wheel speed sensor to a burnt out fuse)
A non functioning ABS could bring the tires to a lock up during extreme braking which could be rather dangerous.

Hope this helps!
