Question about 1989 Toyota Camry

Weird thing going on w/ the gas pedal on a '89 camry

I dont know whats been going on latey, but no matter how fast Im going, everytime my foot is on the gas pedal I feel like theres something underneath that keeps hitting it-as if something is loose.  It doesnt mess anything up while im driving, but Im scared that its going to get worse & cause a huge problem and cost a lot.  I know that Im due to get my brakes done, (probably a little over due), so I dont know if thats causing it or maybe its because my alignment is a little off.  Otherwise the car is great, I love it and it only has a little over 106,000 miles on it.  Im just hoping its nothing major like the axel or the trans.  Please help because im turning into a neurotic mess everytime I drive!

Have the exhaust hangers checked, it is very much possible your exhaust is loose and that is what your feeling.

Engine runs backwards when cold. After many trys runs and starts fine until it sits for a few days then same thing, Use the car every day an no problem.

I would start with changing your battery. Sounds like the polarity is changing for some reason. May have been jumped at one time backwards!! Weird!!

20 year old vacuum hoses are done. Replace all you can. The little plastic ones too. They control everything, transmission, computer, fuel, brakes, everything.

Toyota Camry 2000, break problem inconsistent

Could be a number of things. A lot of times the ABS sensors at the wheels get dirty. This is due to them being magnetic and a lot of brake pads are semi metallic so the dust sticks to the sensors and makes them fuction a little weird. Have someone clean the sensors. I try to pressure wash them everytime I wash the car. Hope this helps.
