P0700 means a indicative transmission malfunction, allways this code appears with other, in your case, P0740.
The P0740 code pertains to the TCC solinoid in the transmission, and often comes and goes, so it may not reappear for some time... enough for you to get through the inspection before you decide to have the transmission diagnosed. The torque converter is a device mounted between the engine and transmission. This device transfers engine power to the trans. This code may indicate posssible failure to engage.
Hope helps.

Best to have a transmission place work on this.
Here are the meaning of the codes:
P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction
P0740 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfunction
It maybe cheap to fix like a bad sensor. Or it maybe something serious going on. Best to have a transmission shop check it out.
Good luck.
SOURCE: What does code po740 mean? What is a torque
P0740 is Torque converter issue. The torque converter is a device mounted between the engine and transmission. This device transfers engine power to the trans. This code may indicate posssible failure to engage, this problem will become severe causing the vehicle to stall or failure to launch. Check trans fluid levels, and have transmission serviced.

well for the start if doesn't have problem when running i suggest do a transmission flush oil and filter (to get debris out of the fluid that might be clogging the solenoid up), or it could be an electrical problem (such as the solenoid, or wiring) or it could be the torque converter itself has failed (which would mean the entire transmission is likely ruined from the debris). It Is definitely a difficult problem to diagnose, and impossible to diagnose without taking anything apart (or at least test driving it with some diagnostic equipment). Starting with the basic (inexpensive) stuff like a fluid flush and filter change and working your way up from there is usually the best way to go, as long as the car is still drive able.
