Question about 2000 Chevrolet Silverado
The trucks battery has been replaced, cable posts as well. sometimes it will start, and other times it wont even turn over. in this situation, we have full lights bells and whistles, but doesnt start. had starter, battery, and alternator checked, all good. is this a problem in the steering column, maybe not recognizing park??????? do tell!
To determine if recognizing park is the issue simply place vehicle in neutral and attempt to start with your foot firmly on the brake. Starter may have a missing tooth or starter solenoid may have an issue. I would also check ground wire to frame and connections at the starter for fraying or loose connection
